Welcome to my classroom. When you enter the classroom you are met by a bigger than life size DNA model hanging from the ceiling. Aquariums are located throughout the entire classroom filled with fish of all sizes and colors. Fossils from a recent summer dig are displayed. Forty-five of the Worlds’ Butterflies pictures are framed for viewing. Potted plants hang in baskets. If you are still enough, you might see small aboreal lizards jump from branch to branch. Bearded Lizards are basking under the heat lamps.
We have an extended outdoor classroom named the “Savage Gardens”. There we can look at plants of all varieties, a small Koi pond and a fountain are on site. Wooden walkways keeps your feet dry during the wet days. Under the gazebo there benches for our outdoor classroom. By the Herb area, a table is set up for students to plant new plants. There are plans to place other learning stations throughout the garden. Birds, butterflies, bees, dragonflies, danselfies and tree frogs are in the area. RRoberts
